2018 Youth Environmental Services (YES) Programme: Northern Cape & Free State

WESSA, in partnership with the National Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), is implementing the 2018 Youth Environmental Services Programme in the Northern Cape and Free State.

This exciting, year-long learnership will expose participants to mentored work-integrated learning opportunities, accredited Environmental Practices Skills training, and selected non-accredited training courses.  A training allowance of R91 per day worked will assist participants with transport and communication during the programme.

The programme is focused on community services within the environmental sector.  Participants will be actively engaged in doing community work through being placed with a Host Organisation as close to their own communities as possible.  Work and training will be both practical and theoretical and expose learners to hands-on examples of sustainable living.

We are inviting applications from unemployed Black, Coloured, Indian or Chinese youth between the ages of 18 and 35 to apply for this learnership, using one of the regionally-applicable, linked application forms below (click on your region to access the form).
