Professor Tracy-Lynn Field

A highly qualified law professor, advocate, consultant, and writer, Tracy-Lynn has extensive academic, research, and administrative experience spanning over twenty-five years, including more than a decade in senior positions.
Specializing in various legal fields, including climate change, water, environmental, mining, and human rights law, Tracy-Lynn has actively engaged in multi-disciplinary research teams and provided expertise through research and consulting contracts to notable organisations.
Tracy-Lynn displays exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and her legal credentials include admission as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, with enrolment in the Legal Practice Council. Tracy-Lynn’s creative thinking and dedication to integrity, along with their board and committee experience, have cultivated positive relationships with NGOs and academics globally.
As a full-time Professor at University of the Witwatersrand’s law faculty, Tracy-Lynn occupies the Claude Leon Foundation Chair in Earth Justice and Stewardship.
