Education Centres

Our education centres  in Howick, Mtunzini and Durban make learning about nature fun and interesting.

Around 15 000 school children visit our three education centres every year. Drawn from South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique and Botswana, children from various age groups, backgrounds, cultures and economic classes enjoy nature camps of anything from 1 to 5 days’ duration.

Camps run all year round and offer a wide range of activities, with the focus on environmental, ecological and nature conservation education.

In addition, there are fun nature education and team-building activities. Opportunities for children to tackle obstacle courses, swim, canoe, hike, climb and stargaze abound.

eSTEAM learning

These activities are linked to our teaching framework known as eSTEAM. STEAM (Science, Tehnology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education is a global trend in education, encouraging creative thinking through action learning.
