Vince is a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission and the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas. He has been involved in the sustainable tourism sector for over a decade and has worked throughout Southern Africa with national governments, private sector and community-based organisations in the management and planning of nature-based tourism. Vince has worked on
interdisciplinary biodiversity survey teams in remote regional settings including Madagascar, Angola and Mozambique. Together with his co-authors won the Basic Research Publication Award from the Louisiana Association of Professional Biologists for his research work on crocodile communication. He is passionate about human-wildlife co-existence, improving science outreach and the development of strong African conservation institutions.
